Mediation

Moorestown Family Law and Divorce Mediation Lawyer

Mount Holly Alternative Dispute Resolution Attorney

Mediation can reduce the cost and animosity in your divorce settlement, or allow you to truly address the best interests of your children in a child custody dispute. However, mediating through a third party does not automatically guarantee a fair outcome or protection of your interests. At Michael J. Stein, Attorney at Law, we help bring parties together for solutions, but we look out for your rights.

Attorney Michael Stein offers 10 years of experience in family law, and he is qualified by the State of New Jersey as a mediator. He represents clients in Burlington County, Camden County, Mercer County, Gloucester County, and all New Jersey. Call or contact us for a free initial consultation.

Alternative Dispute Resolution

Michael J. Stein, Attorney at Law, can guide you to a workable agreement regarding custody and visitation, division of property, or any divorce or family law issue:

  • As your mediator, he provides an environment in which all parties feel free to voice needs and concerns, and suggests ways to resolve differences. Mediators are required to be neutral, but not all mediators have the extensive background in family law and real estate law that Mr. Stein can provide.
  • As your lawyer, Mr. Stein can prepare you for negotiations if you have chosen another mediator (or one has been appointed by the court). It is important not to go in blindly. He will review with you your financial history and other relevant matters, and prepare you to stand your ground on the most important issues.

The primary goal of mediation is to avoid contentious and expensive litigation. We explore all issues to identify where you differ and where there is common ground. If mediation does not produce an agreement, you will have to work out your disputes before a judge with separate, independent attorneys.
